Dear LJ!

I have rocked up to work today and realised I have a lack of work to do. I have subsequently forecasted that today is going to be a slow an lazy day.

Last night the boys and I engaged in a 'mock' going away drinks session/celebration for Marioso! It was a hilarity when we all found out that our good mate Marius cancelled his long awaited 3 month 'getaway' at the last moment (for a $250 fee mind you). We HAD planned to all go to Queens and have beers over a good yarn session to commerate Marius's departure. After careful deliberation, we decided to all go ahead with the celebrations, just that we weren't celebrating the departure no longer (if that makes sense!). Oh the confusion when Simon and Daniel rocked up! Lucky I was notified prior to attending the function.. :)

It was a good session of reminiscing and discussion of random and unimportant topics, all whilst we were torturing our bodies with beer and fried foods such as 'chunkies' and 'fries' (which were strikingly similar to packaged McCains chips you find in supermarkets!). The aioli was a hit and possibly the highlight of the evening. Topics of discussion included female stars in the acting industry, past misdemeanours (with items such as hairbrushes and deodarant cans), inexplicable experiences, and games we enjoyed as children such as marbles etc. Ahhhhh good times, good times.

I eventually made it home where I hit the hay at 11pm, which was the earliest time which I had 'called (it) a day' for a long while. It was neccesary, in order to compensate for the mysterious deprivation of a precious hour of our life, which occured throughout the course of the weekend, just past. Alas, my fellow peers.

It must be re-iterated, that a choice must simply be decided upon for new years eve and it should be recognised that NYE is not that significant of an event (in comparison to the perceived nature of the occasion in previous years)! Alas, ages is catching up with us. It was rather humorous how we kept missing the topic and were unable to decide on something to do despite reminding ourselves on numerous occasion throughout the course of the night. Anyway, I'll go with the flow this year and shall honour whatever decision is made, so you guys decide collectively! Regardless of the outcome, the company will be sufficient to ensure an enjoyable lead into the new year.

Fatigue is settling in, I shall return soon with further addition to speech. Alas, my peers.

G'day all!

Long time no post! Just havin' a beer (infamous TED) on a Fridey arvo'.

How is everyone, I hope (but am sure) that everyone is great! Nud's on holidays overseas having an absolute ball, Dens on holidays bumming out indulging in the abundance of free time, Andrea's thriving in her joy over her potentially lucrative weekends of work, Dan's dancing around the garden having a blinder, Cams' excitement of being an expectant is overwhelming, Annies over the moon about the month of December! WOW. Talk about action packed!

I've had a lacklustre day today, and looking forward to the REAL weekend. The prospect of having 16 days off is absolutely stupendous (fantastic, off the charts, dashing, magnifiiiii-cent...)!!! I have started planning some possible things/events that can take place.

Our idea of having a smashing time over a nice meal on NYE was a great idea courtesy of Denso, and I will shortly suggest some potential venues where we may celebrate the lead in to 2007. WOW, time flies. It seriously felt like it was yesterday that the world was panic-stricken over the Year2K millenium bug. (I know... what an unbroken cliche)

Andrea! How was X-Men 3!? Wicked huh? The risk I took in investing a couple hours of my life into watching that film paid off, and left me in the realisation that it was worth it! I'm sure you enjoyed it too! Let me know how the progessive Hold-Em table poker game is going, I wanna give it a shot.

On a parting note, LiveJournal seems like its being phased out! Journal activity is at all time low for the third quarter of 2006, riddled with doubt in the mind of investors who risk a substantial amount of time and effort with no return in the form of comments or acknowledgement of their intentions to be heard.

HAHAHA.

Have a great weekend all! I'll catch most of you tomorrow/soom/or something like that.

Howdy all!

I hope everyone has had a highly enjoyable weekend, regardless of how you spent it! Whether it be studying, partying, in the doldrums, or up on cloud nine, be prepared for a Monday coming soon to a calendar near you! hehehe! I went to Thao's church's 25th brithday celebration tonight, were I enjoyed shoving Asian food in my gob in avst quantities. Food for devouring included Roast Pork, Fried Rice, Chicken Wings, Spring Rolls and some of the Vietnamese variety! How Asian huh!? Very enjoyable though as there was beer and dancing!

Just wanna wish Denny who is heading into his first exam tomorrow all the best that his memory serves him well haha, and Nud who will be finishing up later this week!

I am just watching Van Helsing on TV and I must say its quite a funky movie. I am going through a DVD phase at the moment, which actually occurs every 3 or so months where I have an urge to keep up with all the 'i-dont-wanna-miss' Hollywood blockbusters. So I head down to my local video store, hire the movies which I know are good and take them home, and uhhh... 'obtain' them. As you guys may know, I am not someone who watches many movies, as I feel a few hours is a long time and is far too great a risk to invest in hoping that a movie is worthwhile to watch. I only ever head down to the cinemas after a long stint away, or if I know a movie is DEFINETLY a must-watch, I dont watch every and any available movie out at Greater Union at any given time. Ahhhh, I've realised I am rambling on. Anyway, The Da Vinci Code is a prime example of a waste of time. The hype about the book and subsequently the film caused Daniel, Den and I to choose to hire the movie on Saturday for our viewing pelasure. We were after a New Release and it was a toss up between Munich and The DVC in the end.
At the end of the movie, where only Daniel and I were the only ones to survive to tell the tale, we sat there wondering, 'what was the movie about' and thinking, 'that WAS extremely boring'. Alas, it was noones fault but our own, as we confessed that we made the wrong choice as all reviews we heard about the movie were bad. YEAH, what an absolute shocker.

I obtained films such as X-Men 3 and Mission Impossible 3 for my vieweing pleasure. Can anyopne suggest any good comedy or drama movies (just out on New Release) that are worthwhile watching? Cheers for any suggestions!

It was great hanging out with Annie, Daniel and Denny for a brief period last night. Denny, you seemed quite disgruntled (you just can't hide it) but I know your intentions were pure. Good form! I hope you enjoyed the change to a casual drinking environment as much as I did after a short showing at Saphhire, as I realised, Sapphire did not suit the mood of the group, highlighted by Denny and my 'forced to move and shift body parts' to conform to others around us, and afraid to be persecuted by peers and risk being percieved by others to be 'too cool' rant. Tiger Lils (not Tigerlily hehehe) was a ideal location for us to kick back and converse in tidier and not so rowdy surroundings. Annie, I shall conjur up some possibilities where you may hold your big birthday party next year, so keep an eye out for my suggestions and possibly another one of CC's infamous 'reviews', this time on nightspots!

Also out idea to kick back at my 'joint' was a masterstroke by Annie, as we have to fight on and continue on with our pact that we shall not drink and drive again in the future. Its alot more responsible what we did last night, and I am sure we all had fun doing so, sobering up by watching TV, playing games, listening to Teriyaki Boys (shoutout to Cammie for opening my eyes to this new talent) and hanging out in the LiveJournal 'lounge'! hehehe

Wild Bean Cafe, perhaps you can recall I was raving about the commercial a few posts back. I actually tried it earlier this week and boy, did it live up to all expectations! The coffee was delicious and it comes highly recommended to all of you! The cafe is well marketed I must say/to be honest and the shop design is very convenient and modern (inside most BP servos mate). They make an interesting selection of pies that I have never seen before such as Butter Chicken flavoured pie to name one that pops stright to mind. I also tried their Chicken Schnitzel wrap and I must say it was both healthy and delicious for those health-conscious readers. Boy, did that lady in the red dress deliver the goods!

Hey, a couple of funny thoughts that I have wanted to blog about that has resurfaced to mind recently. How awkward is it when you are sitting at a table, typically a restaurant table because it is smaller, and you accidentally make contact to another table occupant's foot with your own. The first time it is ok, because it has not become a clumsy act yet, but how funny are the subsequent foot taps that follow!? hehehe. Its pretty awkward as the culprit cannot apologise again for the commiting the same crime, ala that double jeopardy ruling, and the situation is further compromised if the repeat offender apologises again, as it forces the victim of the foot tap to accept ANOTHER apology, for the same type of incident. AND, to make matters worst, if at any time the offender does not offer an apology, or if the victim does not acknowledge an offender's apology, it makes matters worst! hahaha. Its so awkward because you know who did it every time!!!!
- Also have you guys ever knocked a leg of a table and thought it was someones leg? And you did it continously realising then its quite awkward BECAUSE you mentally think its one of your fellow tablemates, but at the end of the night you realise its the leg or brace of the table, and you end up feeling stupid?! hahaha!

The other weird thing that is part of human life is when you try to walk past someone in a congested area, most common in environments such as a shopping centre or on a footpath, you try to get out of each other's way, but you both shimmy/shift in the same direction about 3 or 4 times? Both parties have the right intentions but are both too smart for their own good! What happens then is either persons come to their smarts and realise which way to go, left or right, or one actually walks into the other person? How awkward is the eye contact and laugh at the situation!? And then you walk away thinking to yourself, how can you be smart about it in the future and you start planning an action plan for overcoming the situation for whenever it happens next. hahaha

Perhaps some sort of protocol should be developed, like people always have to keep left, not unlike our roads, or we should revisit our Neandathal roots and take a simplistic approach, like making it a law that either party has to signal physically by giving an arm gesture in the direction they intend to proceed. Verbal confirmation of ones intended path may also be used? Whaddaya reckon? Ingenious in my eyes!

:)

See ya later alligators.

Just wanted to quickly wish all those who are going through a tumultuous period in their lives ie. examination time etc. all the best and best of luck. I am cheering you on cos I can only recall how stressful it is, and I completely empathise with your situation, and I apologise for the continuous and persistent attempts (both in the past and for those times to come) to divert your attention from studying.

Its all worthwhile - and I can't wait for the good times to roll again!

hehehe - in all seriousness - good luck for your exams peeps!

G'day all!

As the subject line suggests, it is an absolutely brilliant, fantastic, superdelic Saturday afternoon! I am feeling great and am relaxing at home this afternoon as I have some planning to do for Thao's birthday next Saturday!

I woke up at about 9 o'clock this morning and to quite a shock as I was reminded by Thao (what would I do without her?) that I had parked my car in a 'fine-able' spot - thats the downside of living in the city where I do, no readily accessible parking especially on Friday evenings. So I had to trudge downstairs looking like crap and in a disoriented state to move my car. Luckily I did not incur a fine, as I was illegally parked for 1 and 1/2 hours. So that was a win - a good start to the day.

My mum asked me to take her to Subiaco markets, so we went to do her weekly fruit and vegie shopping. I took her to Gelares after that and Boost Juice and it was quite enjoyable I must say. I very rarely spend time with my parents so I cherish any little quality interaction we have. It was a very productive morning as it was brought to the attention of my mum that AFL footballers are very well paid. The conversation arose from the fact I rubbed it in that Eagles had won the premiership (highly evident as we drove through Subiaco) - as my mum is a Dockers supporter because she just likes being opposed to me and giving me crap when the Eagles lose.

I had a good day at work yesterday, as I started my hands on traning towards project management. I was given co-responsibility of the last floor of this 4 storey house in Attadale, worth around 1.6 million. Gary, one of my bosses personally took me down to a few building sites to help give me proper insight on residential construction. Seeing things in person helps your understanding alot more. I actually stayed back at work for a little longer (on a Friday afternoon) to learn some things from some of the other project managers so it was both productive and enjoyable. Not blowing my own horn, but my immediate manager passed on praise for me he got from the bosses so that made me quite happy - its always good to hear positive things!!! ;)

Hey guys, if you guys wanna live it up - Attadale is the way to go! On the Swan River shoreline, it looks strikingly similar to South Perth and the city foreshore. The view you get from the house I am working on, looks like the view we got from the penthouse where I had my 21st birthday last year! Absolutely astonishing.

I'm going through a phase at the moment people. I am quite into my 80's and 90's music. Perhaps this fad has arised from the fact I listen to 94.5 and 96FM more at work. But I am revisiting the olden ages where artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Blondie, Foreinger and The Eagles reigned supreme. Dont judge me!
If theres any classics you guys wish to bring to my attention, please do so as I am building up a collection of good olden age music for my easy listening! Boy, am I getting old or what!?

I still wanna do something for Thao on her birthday, so if you guys have any ideas please suggest. I am going to do some planning and brainstorming later, and will let you guys know if I need any help or whatnot. Cheers in advance!

Anyway, I am going to sign off now, will catch you guys soon I'm sure!

G'Day cobbas!

Hows it goin!? Just dropping by Livejournal to drop everyone a line and wish everyone a good end to the working slash studying week! I am happily drinking some booze whilst on the job - and throughly enjoying the casual festivities around my workplace on a 'Fridey' afternoon (prnounced Fry-dee) - boy am I getting more and more 'Occa' by the week!

Something has been brought to my attention... uhh by myself hehe. This is sort of like a public service announcement by the way and is posted in completely good faith and intent! I dont know about you guys - but I thoroughly enjoy hopping onto Livejournal and reading whats up with my good mates, what they are thinking, whats on their mind (good or bad) or just whatever they got to say, anywhere, anytime of the day or night fot that matter - its REALLY engaging entertainment!

Heres goes my public announcement - *in a grand voice* - People people, please don't feel obliged to post a super long essay type post whenever you do - as we all know these brand of posts require more time and effort! Stick to smaller ones if this will mean we can hear from each other more often! In actual fact, I feel I must apologise for starting this revolution! Me and my big posts - which proves 2 things. One, I talk too much and two I talk too fast which translated to a larger batch of words one of my 'standard' posts. I apologise to all! FREQUENCY is the key word! More small posts are alot more fun than fewer big posts! :) I hope no LJ poster feels obliged to match a 'big' post with an even 'bigger' post in the future. heheh. Thats my two cents - let me know what you guys think!

In closing - I think its great fun how theres a growing network or LJ buddies on here! Daniel's inaugural post was a 'RIPPPAAAAA' if you ask me - showing great form (in Andrea's words). Freqent smaller posts are the call of the day!

Extremely looking forward to everyone's next post and replies slash comments etcetera!

In finishing - I think I will be responsible and stop my alcohol consumption at 2.6 standard drinks :) And see you guys on the weekend, OH! thats now! YIPPPEEEEEEEE

Howdy all!

How good is the feeling when you stop and realise it is Wednesday - more than half way through the working week. A few more days at work - which I am really am enjoying even though it is stressful sometimes dealing with builders and 'tradies'. What are your takes on working? I had several a chats with various peers at my workplace, and when you think about it - some uber rich bastard is putting a price on your time, hence your life. Who are they to put a price on us which in exchange they are able to control us!? For those who do work full-time or have worked full time hours (we've all been there at some stage), you must have realised your job takes up a majority of your life. I have really realised (also, as cliche as this may sound) that it is SOOO important you enjoy what you are doing. In my previous jobs I always wished the day would elapse quicker and hence wishing my life away in a sense. I now work through the day and when I look at the clock wishing I had more time to do more. It must be because I really want to learn and make a difference! Or it could just be the honeymoon stage of my new job. We'll just wait and see I guess!

Andrea, your post was very enlightening - glad to see you are readily heeding the advice of Mrs Cho! Mums and dads are often very wise indeed and suggestions should definitely not be taken lightly, which you have learnt! *in a scathing tone* haha just joking! And your little hip hop spill - Fiddy UHHH, Bentley UHHHHH *grunts loudly* was pure classsssssss.
Have you now taken up the graveyard shift at the Cas throughout the entire week? If so I am thinking of coming down perhaps on Friday night to entertain myself in some light gambling at your table! Maybe you can pull the dodgy now and then - you shall then be rewarded dearly! haha. Let me know if you are working and I will try and convince some comrades to come down and watch you display your hopefully now 'fine-tuned' croupier skills.

A holiday to Melbourne! Yay! I am actually very down for that - I have already decided I wanted to go over East in the early part of next year! Righlty so, we should arrange to go together and possibly make the holiday more enteratining! In addition, I have planned to book tickets to the AFL grand final next year at the start of the season - regardless of who makes it - but I am extremely the Eagles can do it again! So if you are interested in that too - let me know cos I will be trying to organise that later. Denny and Dan - remember to save the dollar dollar bills!

I am thinking of working a little bit extra - well on Saturday mornings for some extra cash to pay off my recent spending spree on such items such as a new tv, new furniture etc. Boy the credit card has taken a hammering in the past week or two. Andrea - will Burswood hire my services for one day a week?

I am just enjoying a hearty session of weekday evening television featuring various shows such as Forensic Investigators, Home and Away, Today Tongiht and 'The Force'. Highly enthralling tv mind you! Advertisements -> some great ones - some pretty poor one! What are your favourites? I am currently a very big fan of the ad for Wild Bean Cafe. Its a new one - lemme describe. It starts of with an average Joe Bloggs and a super-hot European model in a car where it appears to be the end of a night out. The lady asks him to 'continue' their night up at her place by entertainign him with the idea of 'coffee'. Now this female is both extremely attractive and obviously irresistable - but the guy appears to ponder on her proposition and politely declines - instead choosing to visit his local 'Wild Bean Cafe' outlet. NOW, I am a sucker for ads. Denny will attest to this any day of the week. How many times have we been watching the Eagles on tv, during which the same old Hungry Jacks ad is replayed everytime a goal is kicked - often at least 10 - 15 times per game. How many times have I succumbed to the 'mouth-watering' images - subsequently leading me to buy a Whopper or two at the next available opportunity. Seeing this ad portray how easily this average Joe declined such an offer - from a fine female specimen - girls, I am talking about Brad Pitt in his heyday or Ron Moss's cheekbones 'fine' - HOW GOOD MUST WILD BEAN CAFE COFFEE BE? I will let you guys know as soon as it is convenient for me to try it out. Have you guys seen the ad by the way!?

Last year I went down to the Perth Convention Centre with some Denny and Dan and some others to engage in the Telethon festivities - in the most charitable event for sick children ever! I think it is one of the best causes especially knowing how important it is that ongoing research into children's sicknesses is ongoing and such organisations like the PMH (Princess Margeret Hospital) Foundation assist families with children. I know Thao had to utilise the services of PMH several times when Cynthia was a little chicken as she had a few seizures and health issues - as children do. It'll be great if you guys are interested in going down - I know you people are busy with uni commitments and all but lets go down to show our support *stares at Nud* hhehe.

I been seeing this advertisement on tv conducted by the governments careers and employment department promoting the properity of pursuing a career in the building and construction industry. How awesome is it that this industry is getting alot more recognition and attention now - as there is now a greater demand of people in the field. It sort of makes me feel happy that I ventured into the industry - not isolated as I originally thought as I'd always pictured myself to pursue a white-collar type career - which can still happen, hopefully!

Daniel, this portion of my post is aimed at you! Hopefully you will make it on LJ at some stage to join in the festivities of blogging! Please do not render my efforts futile! I may provide you with a few suggestions on a few restaurants providing a mean steak, that I have been to:

FINE DINING
- Old Swan Brewery Restaurant is more pricey and is considered fine-dining. Has a fantastic view and the atmosphere is great and everytime I have been there the food has been great - steak definitely included. This venue will not fail you I promise and is probably my best recommendation as it provides good value for your dollar. Ticks in all areas.
- C Restaurant - if you want to impress your relatives you cannot go past this restaurant. Price is obviously compensation for the service that the resataurant provides for you - how they make the world revolve around you while you are up there having your meal I have no idea? That must be why they charge so much. The food was top-notch when I went, regardless of what people say about it.
- Matilda Bay Restaurant - situated opposite UWA the food was excellent there providing a wide variety of meal selections. Good view and great 'next to the river' atmosphere. I had the lamb there and I can remember it was not the best - but it deserves honourable mention because Thao had the steak and it was rated as one of the best she's ever had - obviously second to her own though.
- Coco's on the South Perth foreshore has excellent service and atmosphere. The great thing about this restaurant if you are in the market for steaks is that they provides a special steak-eating guide. Ideal for your relatives as they will be highly impressed with the informative nature of the menu and they will know exactly what colour meat they will be getting, and the characteristics of the flesh they will be consuming.

CASUAL DINING - you get what you pay for, so I recomment a restaurant in the fine dining category. These restaurants probbaly dont offer such features such as a view, quality of service and are unable to move the earth below you in a revolving fashion.
- Vultures Northbridge: The steaks here are fabolous, well priced and has a great pre-party atmosphere. The reef and beef was a favourite - half crayfish and a steak - but if you go here you run the risk of a NB drunk invading your table space.
- Lone Star Innaloo: Good steak - worth a distinctive mention as it is purely a steak house. Nothing fancy in terms of atmosphere but beware, at the end of the night you may smell like BBQ sauce, have BBQ sauce on you, or you may be shot by a gunslinger.
- Harry's Seafood Bar and Grill: Like a grill house that specialises in fish and beef. Has everything that will satisfy the palatte as the name suggests. Cannot go wrong and is moderately priced.

CHEAPO DINING
Saigon - They make steak too, as I remember a compatriate had a steak there once. I can recall the steak tasted like a rug. You'd be better off buying a piece of animal from your local Woolworths (BUY AUSSIE!) and going over to Denny's house to use his barbeque and serving it on a plate.

TO AVOID
- Hogs Breath: has gone downhill from there heights which they acheived many years ago when it wasnt so popular. The last few times I been the quality of cow has been noticeably decreased, in my humble opinion.

Honourable mentions: Victoria Station Burswoord (Steak House), Witches Cauldron (you get what you pay for!)

Hope it helps DT!

Until next time, signing off on my post.

G'day LJ,

I am coming off a great long weekend that eventually took its toll on me quite heavily yesterday and subsequently today as it was the first day back at work, naturally. But boy was it a BIG weekend with a capital 'b', 'i' and a 'g'!!!

Where do I start? I think I shall describe the weekend's events much alike how Andy did it in her latest Livejounral post, in chronological order. By the way, let me acknowledge your successful attempts to implement 'shout-outs' to your fellow LJer's and I am sure all those mentioned are just as appreciative as me!

Before I start - I was watching Today Tonight on channel Seven this evening where I came accross a thought-provoking article. Hang on, is it correct to call a news story section an 'article'? I always seem to stumble to be able to find a more suitable word to title a 'section of the news', and somehow I feel 'article' isn't the most ideal descriptor. Anyway, before I get side tracked the story I was watching was about kids and mobile phones. These days kids as young as 6 or 7 are getting mobiles and teenagers are facing the prospect of bankruptcy at such a young age - purely because they are able to 'trap' themselves in a contract - that is a legally binding contratual agreement. There are several things that must be taken into consideration before wayward fingers are pointed, but phone companies are definitely alot more lenient in offering contracts to younger clients these days compared to 'back in the day'. With the plague of scam biz's out there today offering ring tones, wallpapers, logos and pornographic images for phones that cost an absoulte arm and a leg - those behind the companies are defintely capitilising on the whole mobile phone craze taking over more kids these days!!! I know this issue has been around for a while now - but one of the other issues the 'article' brought up was about phones being a measure of 'social standing' these days. Kids attempt to get the best because they feel they are more socially acceptable etc. There was an example of this kid who bought 12 contracts in a month and he sold off the phones at cash converters because he believed it was an awesome money making scheme!? Hmmnn...

Another issue was that kids were going facing huge debts that they had to pay - in the thousands these days. The most important social issue that was discussed was that phones now are a contributory factor in boosting levels of anxiety and depression in kids. Because alot of people cannot live without their phones in this day and age - I know personally I dont think I could either - but if you combine that ideology with kids being mentally immature and juvenile, phones cause kids to develop behavioural problems. Like when they dont get calls or messages - or the normal influx of them - they will feel isolated and 'unwanted'. Its pretty sad - how teenagers would adopt the thought of whoever recieved the most messages or talked most on phones are the 'in' people. Anyway - I have just realised this was a real boring topic. Why I even bring it up?

Why was I watching Today Tonight in the first place? Well I'll tell you.
I am a big Eagles fan as you would all come to be familiar with by now, but I must admit I actively attempt to not be too unbiased in my opinion of my team and stuff, BUT I love reading and hearing all the lovely things there are to be said about the Eagles wininng, how they are such a great team, how they play great football, why they play great football, how they dont play bad football, that they have the best players, why they are the best players etc. I am an 'addict' to hearing positive things about the Eagles and to some extent negative things about the 'Shockers'. That is why I was watching Today Tonight because every night for the last couple of weeks the news had only ever has POSITIVE things to say about the Eagles. Tonight I came back for more hoping to hear once again how the Eagles came to bring the premiership cup back to Western Australia. But unfortunately all I copped was a load mof mobile phone nonsense that we all already knew. But mind you it was insightful stuff!

Onto my weekend -> Friday night - I went out to Brisbane for a few drinks to start the weekend off but before that I ventured down to a local TAB with the boys to place a series of monetary wagers on the AFL Grand Final - which tunred out to be slightly profitable but hopefully without sounding too greedy - not as profitable as it nearly could have been! Throughout the course of the night I realised Friday was also the night of Asia Cocktail which I must admit I was so very close to attending! Not being a scrooge or nothing, but $25 is well overpriced for the event - let alone for the entry price to any room where I wish to attend in order to then pay a premium for alcoholic beverages for (ala Denny's favourite comparison). But I almost wished to share the experience with Daniel and Andrea this year, only as a full paying patron this time around. How thankful I didnt otherwise dear Nud over there would never have let me forget about it! Later on in the night we collectively started off a weekend in which we ironically 'copped-a-whole-lot-of-FAT', with most of the boys indulging in a 'cop-the-carbs/fat/lard' burger which is also known as the 'Cop-the-Lot' burger courtesy of Fast Eddy's. Pictures of the event are obtainable on request.

Saturday - what a grand day. The day started with me placing a few more bets on the big game as well as rounding up the range of alcoholic beverages that were lined up for enjoyable consumption during the Grand Final. I rocked up to Thao's house where I immediately started to drink up as to ensure I had a memorable day. All the guests started to arrive slowly and in time for the great game - which West Coast eventuated as the victors. Without a doubt the crowd was a pro-Eagles crowd and the entertainment level of the day was extremely high and many thanks to all those who came along to contribute to an exciting event. The fat continued to be consumed - as pizza and KFC were provided, but DID complement the variety of alochol on hand well. I must apologise to those who fell victim to one of my many wayward kisses-of-joy but needless to say, I was in a highly jubilant mood. How intense was the last five minutes of the game. There so much to say about the big game, but all I will say is I love Daniel Chick and 'Marry me Beau Waters!' :|The following football session was highly entertaining also where most of us ran around playing footy under the influence. Indian food (again wasn't too healthy) for dinner tasted great at the time but chemically did not mix soundly with the levels of alcohol festering in my stomach, but through sheer determination and drawing from the 'strength within' *wink* I pulled through. Later that night to continue the celebrations we went to the Niche bar and it was great drinking up and celebrating in great company. Again the night ended with food suspected to lack much nutritional value - namely chicken kebabs with the lot and McDonalds. Unfortunately the group never made it to Chinatown to wallow in such famous Asian dishes such as Fried Rice and Pork Pfffhheerrrr FFhibbbbppps due to mutiny within the ranks *stares at Natalie and Daniel*. If you guys are wondering what that last dish was, its supposed to spell 'Pork Spare Ribs'. Nevermind - its a long running joke that is quite lame if you are not under the influence hehehe! Oh the joy it brings! :|

Sunday started off quietly - Lunch at the infamous PhiYen Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant on Brisbane Street was on the cards where are conscious regards for my health were thrown out the window - as I stuffed my face again. During this lunch period - fortunately the alcohol started flowing again - in commeration of the Eagles majestic win. Along came Sunday night where Thao and I was privileged enough to have dinner at Cammie's new house with her beautiful big TV. I must say a big thanks to Cammie and Dazza for putting on a great show as the food was spectacular. I really look forward to the party to commerate Cam's birthday as the food will undoubtedly be phenomenal! Instead of going all out in good old 'Playaz' fashion (I was out of Playaz cardz anyway - hhaha you guys get it?) - I decided to get together with some of my mates and play some good old Texas Hold Em poker. I did come out on top as I won some money, drank plenty of free Cabernet Sauvignon (fastly becoming my favourite dinner drink) and ate free sloppy stir fried noodles. Oh yeah - the fat continued to be served.

Monday morning I was informed the troops decided to go to the Royal Show - which I realised I vow to not go again in the following year, every year. After quick consideration and some persuasion to the rest of the troopers we ended up meeting up where the day showcased some of the most unhelathy food you can purchase in Western Australia. For some reason - the apparently 'agriculturally' focused fete seemed to highlight its lack of humane values by showcasing meals in their 'before' and 'after' processing states. In one barn they would show a live cow prancing around displaying its beauty and sheer gracefulness - BUT in the adjoining pavillion they would show the same cow roasting beautifully on a spit. I was seriously confused. No joke. Anyway - I must say I conquered one of my greatest fears yesterday by going on the scariest ride I have ever been on, with the help of my wonderful and highly supportive friends. SO in that sense I must thank each and everyone of you's. The Mega Drop was pretty crazy - thinking about it now I cannot believe I went on it. You guys may now realise - I am quite a chicken shit. I dont have the strongest heart and willpower when it comes to amusement park rides. And to be truthfully honest - last night I had this vision that the mechanism that locks you in place, whilst seated in the Mega Drop ride - came undone and I tunneled trough the thin air. It was pretty petrifying. Never again guys - see.. I think I am traumatised :( That feeling flows through my neural system everytime it crosses my mind!!! I can't see how you can enjoy that sensation. But wow, I can now tell my grand kids I went on the 'Mega Drop' and hold claim to such a feat! The week took its toll right after I splurged on a Claremont's now infamous Dagwood Dog and a Roast Beef Roll - that came straight off theat rotating carcass. Sorry Nud about the way I am describing the food - it is purely for the purpose of effect :) I racked up 10 hours of sleep last night - not as much as Andy but I think it was a good effort and served me well.

Anyway LJ, I understand this post has been more of a diary entry than a journal post - but I hope you enjoy my weekend experiences with me. I am appreciative of great mates and the experiences we share together. I was very pleased when I heard Andrea tell me - 'this is the best Royal Show experience I have had' and I think it was a great thing when I realised I was able to share the 20c slot machine adventure with her to make it her best ever gambling experience although she didn't come out on top :P

Until next time!

By the way, why do they call the hotdog thing a 'Dagwood' dog does anybody know?

Hello again all!

I have been inspired to add another edition to my LiveJournal after a conversation I had with Denny over dinner! I think this little online communication means we have found in Mr. LJ will prove quite entertaining and useful if used more regularly. I will also try to suggest to a few other mutual friends of ours to contribute to our online blog - I have even been informed that Bingard is considering participation! I was actually browsing around a little on this site - and I noted an interesting point, that this LiveJournal business extends to over 10 million users! Wow.

"I have had a pretty good week this week, and I intend to let it be known" - just exercising blogging, or what Marius's impression of blogging is hahaha - Andrea and Denny remember our humorous conversation we had about LiveJournal last week at Oriels?!?

What to include in this post? Well for starters I am pretty stoked at the form of my beloved West Coast Eagles! What an ideal forum to articulate my thoughts and also to generate discussion about the Eagles especially in the next few weeks as we are all avid Wet Toast supporters and that the grand final is fast approcahing - imagine in 13 days time we can be laying claim that our team are the 2006 premiers!!! I may be getting a little too carried away. Ahh I have just remembered - thanks Amdrea for complementing the blogging style exercised in my previous entry! Your thoughts and postive commendations are greatly appreciated. The Eagles! Wow I was impressed about our form on Saturday night - we are peaking at the right time! I am quietly confident that we will overcome Adelaide this week (because of our form, our great knack of matching up well with them and also because they are still missing key players) quite comfortably and then go on to surpass whichever opponent in the final match! The allure of the Holy Grail and been the premiers as well as the unthinkable notion of missing out again we will plenty to get them over Sydney or the Shockers (preferably the Swans though!). I cannot wait for this weekends match! Who wants to watch it together?!?!?

It was Cynthia's birthday party today! Her actual birthday is Tuesday but Thao and I (mainly Thaos organisation though) put on a celebration for her at 'The Beach House' - which is a kiddy fun house in Osborne Park of Scarborough Beach Road. So remember this place for future reference for when you all breed and pop out little minions! hehehe. It was actually quite cool - but interesting and though provoking! Alot of the invitees were kids from Cynthia's childcare centre and swimming class. I sort of hosted the party but it made me realised the lifestyle (although immensly obvious) is dramatically different for parents with kids. All the parents just sat back and kicked up - and cherished SOOO much that responsibility of their kids were taken off their back for not even a few hours. I cannot imagine having a kid of my own for a long time yet despite the fact that I contrebute a fair bit to Cynthia's upbringing. The kids were having so much fun but I realised how life is SOOO different through conversing with the parents. Thank goodness I had Thao's sisters there as well as my good mate Daniel Vu (who is Thao's cousins' - who also has a little battler - partner) to escape to and stray away from parenthood talk! One converation I had with a parent:

Parent: Thanks so much for the invite and the oraganisation... blah blah blah... so have you had a busy morning?
CC: Uhhh... in actualy fact I just woke up not to long ago.
Parent: *startled look* uhh.. what do you mean?
CC: Oh! Well I went out last night and just thought I'd sleep in till I needed to have lunch and come here to organise Cynthia's party.
Parent: Ahhh... the life of a youngster - life will be very different soon.
CC: How has your morning been?
Parent: Well normally sleep in till 9 on a Sunday - but the kids woke me up at 6 this morning... blah blah blah.

I realised that I could not tell this parent what I did on the weekend - and how I went out and had a few drinks last night. Different parallels!!! It was a great experience though haha! I actually enjoyed having a run on the bouncy catles and playground with the kiddies - they actually are alot of fun but on the other hand too much to handle when they are full of junk food and sugar!!!! I experienced it first hand - I had up to 4 kids chucking balls at my head in the play pit and while trying to have lunch I had the same kids blowing bubbles and foam into my face!!!

It was actually quite rewarding as Cynthia had a great day and she actually thanked me for her fun and enjoyment of the afternoon. Man... I feel like such a family man at times hehehe but I do actually enjoy balancing that responsibility I have with been young and enjoying my life as per normal!!!

I am watching the late night skit show they have on Channel 9 where they take the piss out of shows on TV and such personalities such as John Howard etc. Have you guys seen that show? Its so funny - its probably of the only comedy shows I actually really like on TV. ALso I have a confesssion. I actually enjoy watching this years Australian Idol contest. I dont think I am a homosexual - I just like this year's mix of talent. Who wants to get together to watch it next Sunday night? hahaha. No I am serious.

Boy I am on the verge of another working week. To think of it - 9 more hours from now and I will be at my desk starting another 9 - 5 (but in my case 8 to 5 - ??? where does the 9 to 5 saying come from??? are we getting gypped?) working week. But I am enjoying the mix I create these days - I go out a fair bit during the week seeing mates and catching up for good old yarns - in fact I might be catching you in the next few days - haha, was that freaky? - throughout my weeknights. Is anyone up for going out this Wednesday for a bit of study / work (just choose whichever one applies) relief - for a quiet drink and hope it doesnt escalate into a big night! Hey do you remember in my last post I said if you guys have any entertaining emails or those FORWARDS that get passed around - feel free to forward to me so I may contribute to 'inefficient work time' at cwong@metrolintels.com.au as I am no longer at Stratco as you may be aware. Cheerios!

This post is also becoming rather long now. I just got a new phone yesterday through signing up to the Three network!!! I realise that I can now call people on a Three number for FREE. Wow the keyword in that sentence was FREE. As Andrea is already aware because I have already affected her - I am on the lookout for people ALSO on the Three network that I may also call for FREE. Be aware that if you do inform me that you are on the Three network, expect to be called on a more frequent basis because my calls will be free - that is without charge!!! HAHAHA this whole paragraph sounds so Asian - and as we all know (yeah especailly you Nud) - we are Anti-Asians (well at least FOBS anyway)!!! :)

Hey what do you guys think of that new Jericho show thats always on Channel Ten (well the ads for it anyway) - is anyone succumbing to the hype that the TV station is conjuring up?

Cammie you should post more regularly so we know whats going on with your baby and all!? And hows Dazza - does he still use LJ? Are you still going to organise that dinner Cam or would you like me to attempt that feat? Let me know! Hey and how is Dazza's XBox 360 going? Does he wanna trade any games? I have a game called Oblivion which I dont play anymore if he wants? I must admit I was overcome by the XBox 360 hype in which it caused me to purchase the unit which I play rather sparingly. I hope you put the system to better use!!!

Anyway I am all of a sudden affected my fatigue in which case I will sign out now. Have a great week people which I am sure you will and thanks for the conversation and company you have provided in the past week! :)

*** WAR HORNS AND TRUMPETS SOUND ***

Indeed, I shall answer the call of my fellow comrades!

It is not good to hear that you are feeling rather flat! We need to introduce some dramas and/or 'adventures' into our lives! We will work on acheiving that task soon alright? Well it is great to hear that your brother Kev is learning the ways of the road, remember if he ever needs some 'professional' lessons, I am available for bookings!

Work is getting you down Andrea? Don't be like that, what you did standing up for yourself was the right thing to do! Question, was the 'Asian' lady like FULL asian (ala. FOBBY accent and accentuated usage of lahs and lors AND core grammatical and pronounciation errors such as 'yewh dewwwin faiwwe scchhhitt'), or was she a proper English speaking Asian? And also what happened? Did you get your way? Did she change tables? Ahhhh I remember my days of gambling at Burswood. My numerous verbal stoushes at the Blackjack tables. One memorable time was when I told an oldish man (full of anger mind you) to shut up and stop trying to control the blackjack table and blaming losses on poor decisions by the left most 'box'. We got into a heated argument and he said to me he wantetd to beat me up. He tried to get me to go 'outside' with him, presumedly because he wanted to get physical with me. I remember that moment clearly, because I started cracking up. Oh, he was like 70 years old at least. Needless to say I could NOT take up his offer to have a fist fight with him. I DO have a heart hehehe.

Yeah Andrea, you'd get alot of that at the casino. If it bothers you that much ask your management to change games or area of work at Burswood.

While we are on the topic of gambling, I have been involved in a little home gambling frenzy with some just-as-eager mates of mine for the thrid straight night tonight. I came home from an early exit in a poker tournament at the 'Rivervale'. I started last week playing in the WAPL (WA Poker League) who hosts proper poker tournaments like you see on TV at local pubs and taverns all around Perth eg. Monday nights at Paddo! Tournaments have around 150-200 people in them and for a $30 entry fee you can win anywhere between $900-$1500 for coming first. In my first tourney last week I came 6th, but tonight when I played at the Rivervale I came a dissapointing 25th. I didnt even want to go play at the RIvervale tonight. My mates convinced me and of course I am a sucker when it comes to gambling. The people there weren't as friendly and socialble as the Paddo crowd. The people were rude, smelt, this one guy who was as big as Schwarnegger played poker and behaved like his brain was the size of a pea. Needless to say he was really stupid in my opinion. This other guy on my table was too eccentric for my liking... I should stop. I am being quite sour. Possibly because I was annoyed I played real poor poker tonight. I shall explain more to those who are interested in this poker thing I do. Perhaps we should all get into Poker so we can have regular get togethers for a friendly game (friendly meaning involving small money for incentive!) :)
My 'binge' gambling started on Tuesday where I played 5 card Stud with my mates, and it continued last night as we chnaged games to Vietnamese 'Tien Len' or commonly '13'. Come on, you guys must know how to play right? ESPECIALLY if you went to Chisolm. Bloody Asian-lead craze. I have been coming out on top lately which is good. My gambling continies on weekend where I have a 'online kitty' which I use to bet on the footy. Anyone with footy knowledge (basic knowledge is sufficient) want to suggest any tips for this weekend? Go the Eagles. Geez I am rambling on, and it must sound now that I have a gambling problem. I hope you guys don't think differently of me. Oh no. The quality of my posts has gone downhill, don't hate me guys. OR do you guys ENJOY these random posts.

I am actually real tired, I had a real long day, it started early because I had a 'team meeting' at Fast Eddy's in Carousel this morning. Where one of my managers decided to enlighten us on what he learnt at some seminar he attended on Monday. Whoo hoo. Free breakfast didn't compensate for me having to wake up ealry and sit through a boring session of semi-useless crap. I was even asked to suggest ideas on how to improve the workplace. Perhaps better pay would be a start? Oh on that topic, One of Stratco's biggest clients is trying to poach me to work for them. Funny that, I havent put much thought into it yet, I just found out today. Quite a shock but it sure makes me feel good. On initial discussion, I have been told I will be paid pretty well, but I don't want to really venture deeper into the construction industry yet. Well not until I have tried what I really want to do --> which is work in the city in a Business/Systems Analyst role. Which reminds me, I finished applying for a graduate role for Rio Tinto yesterday. I had an issue on my application proces which required me to call up head office in Melbourne. Which was a blessing in disguise because I ended up talking to the HR Manager in charge of graduate applications which allowed me to have a quick chat to her and touch base with who I am. I have actually been doing alot of thinking about what I want to do with my career like who I want to work for and what direction I want to take using what approach. I think Andrea we should have a chat about what you should do, because I recall we had a chat once about what you wanna do with your degree. Geez you're a smart cookie getting on the honour roll - what was it, Vice Chancellor's list or something. Geez, if I had the academic-study ability of you girls I would be laughing all the way to the bank (haha just a saying). Hmmn.. good topic for people like us in our stage of our life. Must be exciting for alot around me, Denny is starting uni he is enjoying it so much going through the honeymoon stage I guess, Nud is finishing soon. Cam, I am working on that goal we set that we will all be working together in the city. Hopefully soon. For me its just about finding a more ideal job at the moment. Thats whats on my agenda at the moment - actually its the topic thats taking up most my personal reflection time hehe.

This is a 'true' blog hey? Cammie and Dazza, how is everything going with the pregnancy? Wedding plans? Am I going to be ring boy (sorry that was real immature - its just the thing I ask to everybody I know who ties the knot - boy I'm childish). No serious, am I ring boy? Nud, how is university? How is Jamo? Its great, the last few times we have caught up Nud has been drunk. Shes fast becoming a major party animal!

Just a thought, when I type these LiveJournal posts, what tone do I post in? Do I post like I am expecting people will read it, like do I aim my post AT someone in particular, do I talk on general terms? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Does Adam and Tracy read these posts? Hello if you do! How and what approach do I take when conversing towards certain people (for example this one in response to Andrea's call to arms). Im boggled. Geez I'm affected by fatigue.

Hey my birthday is coming up soon. Its one year already since I had my wicked birthday last year. Remember my 21st Andrea and Cam? How sick was that place I got out (thanks to Thao's cousin Thuy - SEE, do why did I say thanks to someone who I know WILL NOT read this post?) last year. Come to think of it it was a wicked party. I wish I had the motivation to do that again - bahhh the next milestone tahts worthwhile is... shit I dont know. Theres not many more after 18 and 21? Any suggestions on next major milestone that is means for big party celebrations is welcome. See I'm even introducing group involvement in this post. Geez I loved group work at uni - especially punishing poor performers and non-participators. I remember how we got allocated 4 to 6 lines to bitch about 'poor' performing group members. AHAHHAAH what a joke, on several occasions I used 3 whole A$ pages to compalin about my group members. I was a Nazi. No, I just did my work in uni. Boy, can we tell this post is now been written in a severely fatigued induced state? Hey Cammie, I hope this is enough to keep you busy on your lunch break?

Dazza what you been doing buddy?

Ahh on the topic of my birthday (I nearly lost track) {on another tangent, shit I hope I dont accidentally close this browser window - this huge effort will be wiped out you know, its happened before, then when you try to remember what you typed, it aint never as good cos its not the same - im sure you guys know what I mean). Grammactical errors, punctuation mistakes, typo's and poor formatting of general speech is creeping into this post. I hope you guys dont think Im crazy.

Oh oh my birthday. I started thinking about it on Monday I think. I want to go Go Kart racing down at V8 Barbagallo raceway - hey these Karts go 130km/h. Proper V8 racetrack. Would you girls and gurs be interested? Give me some feedback ASAP so I get a general feel if people will be willing or not. Oh a good hearty session that includes HEAPS of racing time costs around $100. I am thinking of subsiding for my invitees.

Hey we need to catch up soon. I am into doing things on weeknights, you know you gotta keep things interesting, cos when you work 9-5 every weekday you gotta keep busy socially to avoid been buried under in monotonous work - laborious tasks is highly correlated with general bordeom. <- Did that make sense?!!?!??!

Oh I got a bloody parking fine the other day. Wednesday in fact, hey that was yesterday. I am complaining because I had a parking permit and it must have blown off my dash the previous night which was Tuesday night. I called up the City of Perth and they informed me I need to put my claim in writing. I hope I get let off.

Hey this has been fun. I will post more often now - I can feel the shift in momentum heading towards more heavier usage of LiveJounral again. I hope you guys feel the same. If you guys ever want to email me like for an instant message purpose or forward interesting emails - my work email is chwan.wong@stratco.com.au (I am almost always on my computer so instant reply is generally on the cards).

On a finishing thought, I just read the last line of your post Andrea, ARE YOU IMPLYING THAT I AM PREGNANT ANDREA??? >:|

- Johnny Walker Black Label w/Coke

This is gotta be my outright favourite as I have recently took a turn back to my spirits, after a long bout in which I have sided with beer. This whisky is totally smooth and the benefits arising from its deliberate aging is evident even from the slightest taste. I enjoy the drink with Coke, as I do yet appreciate whisky 'on the rocks' or simply with ice only. I believe in time, my appreciation of whisky has not yet extended so far to be able to enjoy drinking it straight, but be rest assured, in time I will acquire this, 'acquired taste'. Not the cheapest choice of drink as it is a 'top shelf' drink, and is superior to Johnny Walker Red Label (standard) and is equivalent to Jim Beam Black Label. Deinfitely my favourite and a shoo-in for a shout. Be careful, budget and dodgy outlets don't stock upmarket drinks such as this.
Average Cost: $8.50 to $9.50

- Stella Artois Imported Beer (Belgium)

This is probably my favourite improrted beer right now and just nudges out Corona and Heinekens. Its taste is hard to describe, besides it been delicios and is sold at most drinking holes. If you ask for this beer when and where local beer is also sold, you may be branded as a yuppie or be perceived as trying to behave like a superior being! Will not dissapoint. Is available on both tap and bottled.
Average Cost: $8.50 to $9.00 for a bottle (330ml) but I have seen a pint for $8.00 (530ml)

- Beez Neez Australian Boutique Beer

Is a local hand crafted beer created by the Matilda Bay brweing company. First tried at the Brisbane, is a delight for any beer lover. Is very smooth and has a semi-dry taste to it not unlike other Australian beers, and topped of with a tinge of honey flavour. The honey taste kicks in as an after taste and is both very unique and pallateable. Once you taste this, you will never forget the distinctive and crisp taste of Beez Neez. It is worth a shot and is reasonably priced. The downside is that it is quite a specialty beer and is not widely sold.
Average Cost: $7.00 a bottle

- Galliano Black Sambuca

Don't really like shooties anymore as I have seemingly being traumatised by past experiences with Tequila, Chartruesse and Bacardi 151. But I find this drink both very tasty and easy to go down while not compromising on alcohol content. Not for everyone though, as the black version of this drink is liquorice flavoured. Can be used in many cocktails and mixes and is priced similiar to normal shots. Can also be set on fire to 'apparently' transform the drink into a more potent concoction, but personally it appears to only serve as a visual effect.
Average Cost: $7.50 a shot

- Durian Bubble Tea

An Asian delicacy transformed into a happy Hong-Kong inspired past-time. This bubble tea flavour is not for the faint hearted and is onlyt recommended to those who don't mind durian in the first place. Don't know what durian is? Forget about this flavour. Is beautifully crafted and epitomises the true essence of the native southeast Asian fruit. Able to be consumed straight, with milk and you have the option to add sago balls (starch balls) or jelly (or both). Only sold at one location (Tea Fusion) and there is a great possibility that you will attract jeers and a general negative response from peers and onlookers.
Average Cost: $3.50 (provided you choose to add either sago or jelly)

- Water (Mount Franklin)

Plain and simple and is required to survive. Nothing much to say about it besides it is clear in appearance and lacks a distinctive flavour (providing you have a clean sample). Mount Franklin is the brand name created by the Coca-Cola Company and distributes their water in a pansy baby blue coloured bottle. Tries to deceive consumers by placing the same water in a different shape bottle and selling this as the drink called 'Pump'. But kudos for implementing a clever marketing strategy. Mount Franklin is available in about 6 or 7 different sizes and is a neccessary ingredient the day after a big night to bure dehydration.
Average Cost: $2.00 for a 600ml bottle

Well well well what a few days it has been since I have finished my last exam. My last exam on Thursday was a great finish to my university career! It was alot easier than everyone in the unit and I had expected, and as a result I did really well to finish uni on a high! What is even better is that I think that this last semester may yield my best results to date! Anyway enough about uni! For Cammie, dont you worry about your exams, I am sure you did really well and you are unneccessarily worrying! And remember whats done is done! So lets continue to party hard!

Well onto the matter of partying hard, I have been since Thursday as I enjoyed a lax session of drinks and idle bantering with my uni compeers! It was great for Cammie to make such an effort to come down to uni to join Andrea and I in numerous jugs of Becks! (*Life Beckons*). On Friday I had an early start to a big night after an entire days work (9am-9pm) at around 10pm at the Sapphire Bar, and the place COMPLETELY packed out in the blink of an eye (literally) at 1am! Anyway many drinks and a fair few DNM's were had amidst the laid-back yet pretentious backdrop! And on Saturday Denny, Simon, Daniel and I engaged in a spirited 9 holes of golf whilst still slightly under the influence of alcohol! And along the way we pi**ed a few avid golfers of by averaging about 15 shots per hole instead of the normal 3-5 shots!!! Then onto last night! Started the night off at Onyx for a few drinks and it was unfortunate I couldnt stay for longer with the crew (we'll go there again later ok!?) and then headed off to Metros in the city for what would turn out to be an enormous night! Countless and I mean countless drinks were had, and the night ended for me at 5am! :)

Here's a quick pic of one of the many idiocies shown by my 'friends'. HAHA!

I guess I am really living up the reputation that I am an alocholic as branded to me by Nud, but this seriously can not go on as I am suffering my first bout of a hangover (however quite minor) since my younger years of drinking!!! But it has been great fun these last few days! Waking up at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon has not been a realistic scenario in my life in the last 6 or so months!!!

Now that I have finsihed uni, what I am going to do? I had put some thought into it and I would like to probably not jump straight into a new job because doing so requires much dedication, commitment and concentration! Right now I fimrly believe I lack the ability to re-acquaint myself with those concepts well at least for a few weeks or months. In simpler terms, I just want to relax for a little while after studying non-stop for the last 16 years of my life and intensly for the last 5 or so years! So I will 'soup up' my resume and start devising some official 'Letters of Applications' for positions that allow me to start in early February or so next year. In the meantime I will continue to assist in the management of City Provisions!

In the meantime, to enjoy my time during which I will have no academic responsibilities and duties, I will engage in a range of activities to pass time. To assist myself in doing so, I have will devise a 'Things to Do' list which I may use as a reference point or as a checklist kind of document to remind me of the things that I may do if I am bored!

THINGS TO DO
Have poker nights
Get Final Fantasy 12
Play mini-golf
Go Go-Kart Racing
Fishing
Play more golf
Sunday afternoon soccer games
Brisbane comedy nights
Onyx, Sapphire Bars
[ASIAN THEME]
Eat Dim Sum with mates
Drink bubble tea (with lychee jelly) LOL! >:)

Oh yeah!!! On Wednesday, there will be auditions held somewhere in Claremont, for the next contestants for Big Brother!!! Denny has decided to give it a shot and somehow I sort of belive he has what it takes to be a contestant on the show. And since I am going to be there providing moral support I may as well give it shot too. Perhaps I should try and pull something while am there and hopefully make it to those commercial lead-in segments where they show the biggest idiots and 'embarassing' contestant moments. Any ideas?!? :)

Well I have found some little time to add an entry to Mr. LJ here. I have just woken up from a little nap just in time to freshen up for the live telecast of the World Cup qualifier between Australia and Uruguay! Its like 3am in the morning. Goooooo Australia!!!! I don't know many people are really into soccer and also staying up watch this game, but if you are give me a yell! Hmmmn.. since Andrea and Nud also love the Eagles like me, maybe they are the best bet on being a soccer fan too. Maybe Daryn likes soccer?
Well I used to play soccer as a kid and in high school, but my general interst in soccer has died off. I only really like big matches such as English League, FA Cup, Champions Cup finals and off course international matches. Woo hoo the World Cup is just around the corner next year, another mad few months of betting and late nights watching quality soccer! Well about the WCQ (World Cup Qualifier), I don't really care if Australia makes it or not, although I would like to see them win, especially since Uruguay were the ones that knocked us out of contention last time around. Hmmn.. come to think of it, its kind of personal, I hate Uruguay for denying Australia a spot in the last World Cup, and the name Uruguay DOES sound pretty gay, hey hey you remember the jokes we would all crack about Uruguay in our younger years (hurr hur *geeky voice* Uruguay sounds like hurr hurrr U R GAY hurr hurrr [in line with the whole Uranus - UR ANUS theme]) and I DO have a range of bets totalling $50 (only) on the game. Actually, yes, who am I kidding, I want Australia to win and all evidence clearly suggests that!

I have been studying my arse off of late, as I realised I was falling behind schedule according to my 'study plan' I had devised before the study week. I have only finished studying for one of my three exams and just started on my second one. I am a little stressed but I know it will all work out in the end, like it always does. Hopefully anyway. With all this hype in the past few weeks about graduation, and life after university, I ponder... what if in a moment of terror we recieve our grades and we realise we are destined for another semester at uni, and for a solitary unit! Hmmnn... well that wouldnt be so bad, I COULD convince Nud to keep me company at my recent newfound hangout (the tavern) as well as few of my mates who are still at uni. But ey, who am I kidding I am outta there!? ;)

Anywhos, I am going to wrap this up, I am going to start on that couch mound as I have 20 or so minutes to do so before the game starts. Oh well, until next time LJ! I hope Australia wins, and on the whole Asian theme thing, I must say I am really craving Durian bubble tea! :) Maybe I will go get some tomorrow. No I will go get some tomorrow. And Daryn, thanks again for winning all those Care Bears, Cynthia loved them! (yes, I did give them to her, and no, I don't still have them)!!!

Hello Mr/Mrs Journal!

I am writing my second official 'LJ' entry, and its like 2:30 in the morning almost. I just got home from the club, Capitol (old Globe on Murray St.) where me and Den, Sim, Dan and Cam had some enjoyable drinks while watching the grand final of the Jim Beam Inside Sport model competition! I am not exactly sure what people write in online journals, or more commonly termed 'blogs', as I am seemingly new to this concept. (Note to self: Stop writing as if this is an essay). Well yeah, 'I have mixed emotions about tonight' (which hopefully is a very journalish thing to say!), and in my semi-intoxicated state, I will list them here. I am upset that my and the general crowd favourite 'Tash' did not even make it into the top 3 haha, nah I am not really upset, it just would have been good that if she won, because she was obviously the most attractive on stage, but I guess she lacked charisma. The judges were on the ball I guess. But the MAJOR highlight about tonight, is that I formally met Mark Nicoski. I must remind you, Mr. Journal, that I am an avid and highly passionate West Coast Eagles supporter and I admire this youngster and highly skilled player named Mark Nicoski.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of meeting him tonight as Sim and I originally approached him to congratulate him on his outstanding season. But he was so friendly and welcoming, we ended up chatting for about 5 minutes. He's a really cool bloke and I felt satisfied that I was able to 'reward him' for his personal acheivements on the football field. I mean the kid is 21 years old, THE SAME AGE AS ME! (look where I am at, I am still an 'undergraduate!) and he has achieved some good heights on the footy field for my favourite team, and is know reowned as one of WCE's key players. And to know that halfway through last year he was so sh1t, that he lost the first western derby for us, and to see him develop into such a skilled player. I told him exactly that (minus the 'you lost last year's derby for us!!!' comment), and I am happy that I have probably made him pretty satisfied with himself knowing that people acknowledge his individual effort and personal achievement, and especially for people to come up to him in public and congratulate him. I will stop here, as I can go on about this forever and before anyone (including you, Mr. Journal) think I am a complete nut idolising a meagre footy player. Its just that my sporting dream is to play football for the WCE, but it'll never happen now, as I never played team football as a kid in high school because of social reasons (didn't hang with the 'footy' people), which I recognise now wasn't a big deal at all. I always wonder, if I did play back then, would I have been able to develop enough and eventually become probably the first 'pure' Asian to ever make into the AFL? LOL, Mr. Journal I know you are thinking, 'dream on'.

Unfortunately, I will conclude this LJ entry, I realise I have to help out at the shop tomorrow morning, because no one else can work. I really don't want to, as I need to start studying for my exams, but oh well, sh1t happens and life goes on. A quick revised calculation tells me if I sleep in the next 10 minutes, I will get approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes sleep and that will be the best case scenario. Boy, I can't wait to through my head back onto my pillow, you get that wicked headspin feeling after you have been drinking a little! Well, good night and until my next entry.

PS. I have a parting thought, 'Mr. Journal', are you actually in existence, or are you purely a figment of my imagination?
